Best in the world Char Kuey Teow

Spanking DA Monkey has found the best Char Kuay Keow in the world. No, we’re not kidding you. Just follow these 3 easy steps:

1. Find your way to the Say Huat restaurant in the old Sentosa area of Section 17

in Petaling Jaya.

2. Look for Robert’s Char Kuey Teow stall located on the right hand side and

order a plate.

3. Enjoy. It’s better than sex.

ROBERT.Is Penang style and not KL Style
What is the difference of 'Penang Style and KL Style' ?
Penang style lighter color, not so oily and normally serve onto banana leaves.
KL Stlye a bit darker in color, wetter frying than Penang Char Kweoy Teow a lots of garlics,

Beside Char Kway Teow have cockles, egg, prawns, bean sprouts, chives,Chinese sausage, fish cake, pork lard, In Penang they add crab meats, seems here in KL don't have
Hahaha..KL copy Penang one

In Penang if go to Twins Sister Char Kway Teow special with big prawns about $8 per plate la. Even small potion at least is taste good la

There's one behind Yut Kee Restaurant, Jalan Dang Wangi. It's the first hawker stall at the lorong beside Bodhi Tree Restaurant. Try not to tambah telur. It'll spoil the whole dish. This is the dark char koay teow style.

There is a great Penang Char Kuey Tiao at Jalan Batai, Damansara Heights!
Its located in a coffee shop, i forgot the name.. but its in the middle lot... not the corner lot coffee shop.

Menu:
Char Kuey Tiao (Normal)
Char Kuey Tiao (Special) With a lots of prawns! The prawns quite big!

The place very funny one, u need to go inseide the pay parking area, coz the 2 row shops is located inside the car park.

3 Sisters in Penang are really good - but if u go during festive season you queue for it at least 30-45 mins.

I was just there during Raya holidays, and waited 45 mins (and you must queue standing to collect your own CKT! No ordering and sitting down!)

The prices are high for Penang-ites, and many Penang-ites do not eat here.. Due to other places are 'almost' as good, for cheaper price and don't have to wait.

Normal = RM5.50 (with 3 big prawns)
No 'Liao' = RM5.00 (with nothing! Gee, pity those ppl dun eat cockle / prawn)
Extra 'Liao' = RM7.50 (with 6 big prawns, noodles almost same qty as normal)

Penang Road's Joo Hooi Cafe is also very good for Cendol, Assam Laksa (sour type, not like Air Itam's sweet one), CKT and the lobak, etc... A lot of quality food in one place.

Not sure if Robert open in SS3 in the 90s, I know they have another outlet/franchise in SS2, the corner coffeeshop opposite "former Daya Supermarket". Now, there's another stall in Paramount, the coffeeshop behind O&S. But that one sucks. It is cooked by some foreigner. Yucks.

Had a few CKT during my recentb trip to Penang. The famous one at MaCalister (sisters) & Lorong selamat are good but too pricey. They are actually many good CKT in Penang at much reasonable price. Found one very good one at Padang Brown (junction of Anson Rd), It only costs some RM2.50 with prawns & cockles.
However, the best one I had was in Kulim a small town in Kedah near Butterworth. It only costed me some RM2.30 for the `special'. The CKT is cooked with lard under charcoal fire...to me it's second to none.
