Malayia's Digital Autopsy Technology

Imagine a world where autopsies are no longer done in the squeamish, bloody way we now know them to be. Instead, they are carried out using high-powered computers and scanners, resulting in a quicker, more accurate and bloodless process. That's the future of digital autopsy and it is a proudly home-grown technology making it happen in the spirit of Malaysia Boleh!

iGeneSdn Bhd has created a digital autopsy system which is essentially a software-based procedure using high-powered computer imaging that provides three-dimensional capabilities to view and “dissect” the dead body.

iGene has achieved noteworthy success already; it is currently building a digital autopsy system in the United Kingdom, consisting of four full-scale digital autopsy facilities and 14 digital autopsy scanning centres with all the information feeding into one data centre, says Matt Chandran, 45, the founder and owner of iGene.

Chandran said that iGene's UK business had come about after the Home Ministry there issued new guidelines for digital autopsies.

What’s ironic here is that while Malaysia is ready to take our very own locally produced digital autopsy technology to the UK, our local opposition lawbreakersmakers are still screaming for Dr Flip Flop Porntip to deliver the gospel on autopsies for local cases. No other Pathologist is good enough for them.

The Spanker says:
I see a win-win situation here. If Matt Chandan will just go the extra mile and sport a multi-hued punk hairstyle, he stands to usurp Porntip and reap considerable business from the Selangor State and lawbreakersmakers like Surendran, Sivarasa, Koya and their ilk.

As for the Selangor State and lawbreakersmakers like Surendran, Sivarasa, Koya and their ilk, they stand to gain a considerable discount for bulk business and even points for participating in the loyalty program.

See? Win-win.

Bro, i like this story. But there is a question though, as of today; would the Court in Malaysia accepts a testimony made via this 3d computer? Belum lagi kan?

@MatBon possible the trained technician who operate virtual autopsy machine possible testify what he see with results.

I think that's a useful advance in technology to prevent contamination on the dead victim [cadaver].
